Recently I have been playing at some new North Carolina golf courses. I have found that by choosing a brand new course to play it somehow improves my game. I think that perhaps it is because I do not know how hard the next holes are going to be so I play my best at the beginning and then continue to play well throughout. Maybe it is the novelty of playing in a new place or just that I put less pressure on myself to do well because I am not familiar with it. I have decided that I should perhaps try playing at new places regularly and this might help to improve my game in the long term. I have tried to play a course that I know well as if it is a new one but unfortunately this does not work. I cannot fool myself that easily! I have found that there is one particular course that I do play better than the rest, even after having a go at it a few times I still play it as well as I do the brand new ones. I think that it must be just a good course as there are some NC Golf homesites for sale next door to it and they are selling really quickly. I am even considering whether I should buy something there as if I have found a course that I enjoy then it would be good for it to be my regular one and I do live a bit far away from it. I will have to make my mind up quickly though because I am sure that they will all be gone real soon and I may miss my opportunity to buy. I think I will play the course a few more times first though, just to check that the effects do not wear off and my playing goes back to normal!
